Construction Worker Killed Repairing Water Main Leak In Central PA; GoFundMe Started
A 23-year-old construction worker was killed while repairing a water main leak in Lancaster City, the Lancaster County Coroner’s Office announced on Thursday, Feb. 12.
The incident happened on the 1300 block of Arcadia Road on Tuesday, Feb. 11, when excavating equipment was being used to repair the leak, according to a media alert.
Coroner investigators responded and found an adult male employee at the scene who was pronounced deceased, the release states.
He was identified as Mason Nickel, 23, of Wrightsville, PA, according to the coroner.

Two men have been arrested in connection to the fatal shooting of a former college basketball standout and father of three at a DC nightclub in 2023, officials say.
Blake Bozeman, 31, was shot and killed around 11:50 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 23, 2023, inside a bar in the 1300 block of H Street NE, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.
Bozeman, who played Division I basketball at Morgan State University in Baltimore, was celebrating a friend’s birthday when gunfire broke out.
