Jocelynn Rojo Carranza of Gainesville, TX, died on Saturday, Feb. 8, five days after she was rushed to a hospital, Univision 23 reported. She was a student at Gainesville Intermediate School, about an hour north of Dallas. Man With Knife Barricades Himself In Philly Basement Philadelphia Police responded to a man barricaded inside a basement, authorities said. The person had a weapon on the 4100 block of Devereaux Street (private rowhome) at 10:49 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 19, they said. A 44-year-old Hispanic male locked himself inside the basement of this property, police said. The male is possibly armed with a knife. It was declared a barricade at 12:24 p.m.

Electrocuted Worker, 30, Dies After Falling 3 Stories In Philadelphia Industrial Accident A 30-year-old worker was killed in a Philadelphia industrial accident, authorities said. The unidentified Hispanic man was working at a home on the 2200 block of East Cambria Street when he was electrocuted around 8:20 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, city police said. He then fell three stories from a scaffolding. PFD-Medic Unit pronounced the male dead on the scene at 8:26 a.m.
