A York County man has been sentenced to state prison for beating his family dog to death with a baseball bat — an attack witnessed by his teenage daughter, who later turned him in to police, District Attorney Tim Barker announced on Tuesday, July 2.
Aston Aguilera, 39, of Dover, pleaded guilty to felony aggravated cruelty to animals before York County Judge Clyde W. Vedder on Monday, April 14, according to court documents. On Tuesday, July 1, he was sentenced to serve two to four years in a state correctional facility, court records show.
