A Pennsylvania father died and a New Jersey man was hospitalized after their 50-foot sportfishing boat capsized midday Saturday, Oct. 18, according to the NC Wildlife Resources Commission.
Francis “Frank” Hennigan Jr., 50, of Glenmoore, and Taylor Flannery, 29, Point Pleasant, were transporting the Moonstruck, a Winter Custom Yachts vessel, from Cape May, New Jersey to Florida when they stopped in Beaufort, North Carolina for propeller repairs, Lieutenant John Beardsley said in a Saturday evening release.

Montco's Sean Hagerty, 26, Killed In Schuylkill River Boating Accident
Montgomery County is mourning the loss of Sean Hagerty, a 26-year-old area resident who was killed in a boating accident on Sunday, June 1, his obituary says.
WFMZ says Sean's body was recovered the following day and later officially identified by the Montgomery County Coroner.
According to 6abc, Sean and another boater got caught in drainage pipes under the Keim Street Bridge in Pottstown. While one boater got out, Hagerty did not, the outlet said.

The body of a 39-year-old dad who went missing after a boating accident on the Susquehanna River on Thursday night, Aug. 15, was found on Saturday afternoon, Aug. 17, officials announced.
Brian Pierce, 39, of Quarryville, was boating with two friends near the Muddy Creek boat launch in Drumore Township when the boat malfunctioned, drifted, and struck a rock bed, Pennsylvania state Police Lancaster Trooper Schatzmann detailed in the release.
