Man Accused Of Punching Child Multiple Times At PA Park: Police
A Lancaster County man is accused of punching a child multiple times in the face and head at a park in Adamstown, Ephrata Police announced on Sunday, May 17.
Ruben Lugo, 36, of Adamstown, was arrested following the assault investigation at Adamstown Park, located at 208 W. Main St., according to Ephrata Police.
Officers were called to the park at 5:59 p.m. on Sunday, May 4, for a reported assault on a juvenile, police said.
Investigators determined Lugo struck the child with a closed fist three or more times in the face and head area, causing swelling and redness, according to police.

A Bucks County jury convicted a Morrisville man of attempted murder in a shooting at an apartment complex that sparked a more than two-week manhunt, prosecutors announced on Thursday, May 14.
Kevin Donte Watts, 42, was found guilty following a three-day trial of attempted murder, two counts of aggravated assault, simple assault, firearms not to be carried without a license, possession of a weapon, receiving stolen property, and harassment, according to the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office.

A former daycare worker is accused of sexually assaulting a girl for years after following her home from school in Bucks County, police announced on Thursday, May 14.
Mark Charles Stump, 68, of Warminster Heights, was charged in Upper Southampton Township with aggravated indecent assault of a person less than 13, corruption of minors, indecent assault of a person less than 13, and indecent exposure, according to Upper Southampton Township police.
