Two 24-year-olds from New Jersey were killed after being struck by a subway train in Manhattan early Sunday morning, Sept. 13, authorities said.
According to the NY Post, video shows Navam Kaul, of Sayreville, and Malaika Chitre, of Dayton, sitting on the tracks moments before they were struck by the train just before 3:15 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 13.

An adult son is charged with fatally shooting his mother’s boyfriend after intervening in an assault at their Pennsylvania home, authorities said.
Ryan James Yaindl, 26, of the 100 block of Spring Street, is charged with criminal homicide in the killing of 52-year-old Jason G. Derr.
Derr and Yaindl’s mother, who were both at the home at 185 Spring St., had been involved in a physical altercation Saturday morning, Sept. 12, according to Northampton County District Attorney Stephen G. Baratta.

A juvenile was ejected and killed in a chain-reaction crash involving multiple vehicles on the Garden State Parkway over the weekend, authorities said.
Nicholas J. McLean, 19, of Hillside, was heading north in a Mercedes-Benz with a juvenile passenger in the front seat when he struck the rear of a Kia SUV near milepost 139.2 in Cranford just before 11:50 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 13, New Jersey State Police Trooper II Christopher Postorino said.
