Schuylkill County Woman Dies 11 Days After Crash: Lehigh County Coroner
An 82-year-old woman from Schuylkill County has died at a hospital in Allentown from critical injuries in a crash earlier this month, authorities announced on Monday, Sept. 23. Mary Frances Peiffer of Auburn died of blunt force injuries, Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio said. Peiffer was pronounced dead at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, at 2:02 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 22, Buglio detailed in the release. A 37-year-old mother of four was killed in a crash after striking several parked cars on Monday, Sept. 9 in Schuylkill County, authorities announced the following morning. Lisa Marie Dimitri, of Pottsville, was pronounced dead in the Emergency Department at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest at 10:20 a.m., according to Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio. Lackawanna County Man Is 2nd Victim Killed By Home Explosion: Coroner
A second victim has died from injuries following a home explosion in Lackawanna County, authorities said. Leon W. Gruss, 91, of Jefferson Township, was pronounced dead on Wednesday, Aug. 21, at 12:38 a.m. at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, according to Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio. The cause of death is 51% burns to the body due to the explosion and house fire, Buglio said. A 16-year-old died from injuries weeks after a serious fall from the flatbed of a pickup truck, the Pennsylvania State Police announced on Friday, July 19. Berks County Bull Attack Sends Man To Hospital: Troopers
State police said a man at a Berks County farm was attacked by a bull on Sunday, June 16. The man was performing work on a Strausser Road farm in Windsor Township when the bull "aggressively attacked" him, authorities wrote in a release. The man was injured and taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, while the bull was "dispatched" by the owner, according to troopers.
