Fatal Motorcycle Crash Closes I-81 Ramp In Central PA: PennDOT A motorcyclist was killed in a crash that closed an Interstate 81 ramp in Hampden Township on Saturday, Nov. 16, according to Pennsylvania Department of Transportation spokesperson Fritzi Schreffler. The wreck happened around 6:45 a.m. on the southbound ramp to Route 581 Eastbound at Exit 59 (Route 581/Route 11/Camp Hill), officials said. Emergency crews responded to the scene, shutting down the ramp for several hours. The crash has since been cleared, and the ramp has reopened. No additional details about the victim or the cause of the crash have been released.

Tractor-Trailer Rollover Cause Closure At PA Turnpike Ramp In Lancaster A tractor-trailer rollover crash has caused a closure at the on-ramp for the Pennsylvania Turnpike/Interstate 76, officials said.  The tractor-trailer flipped at Colonel Howard Boulevard in the eastbound lanes leading to the PA Turnpike/I-76 entrance from Route 222 around 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 28, according to East Cocalico Township police and the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.  "Both lanes will be closed for approximately 1-2 hours," the police wrote in a release. Car Carrier Catches Fire On Rt 283 In Central PA (Photo) A car carrier caught fire on Route 283 on Monday morning, Sept. 30, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. The call to fire came into the Dauphin County Department of Public Safety at 8:03 a.m. Fire crews responded to a tractor fire on Route 283 East at the Middletown Road Exit in Dauphin County Monday morning. There was a lane restriction in the area. The tractor of the car carry was hollowed out by the fire, as seen in PennDOT's 511PA traffic cameras.  No injuries have been reported at the time of publishing.

Camper Overturns On I-81 In Lebanon: PennDOT An overturned camper closed a portion of Interstate 81 on Wednesday, Sept. 25, Pennsylvania Department of Transportation officials told Daily Voice.  The camper flipped over on I-81 South at mile marker 84 in East Hanover Township around 11:30 a.m.  The interstate closed for the towing between Exit 85: PA 934 - Annville/ Fort Indiantown Gap and Exit 80: PA 743 - Grantville/Hershey. 8 Flat Tires In One Morning Prompts Sinkholes Repairs On Rt 222: PennDOT After eight drivers got flat tires driving over sinkholes on Route 222, repairs are underway, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and a local fire company announced on Monday, Aug. 5.  All the flat tires were experienced in the morning commute along 222N at mile marker 37.2 just north of the Brownstown exit before Pool Road the West Earl Fire Company explained around 5:48 a.m. at 7:13 the PennDOT road crews arrived to complete the scheduled repairs.  The sinkholes responsible for the flat tire are within the limits of a 3.3-mile pavement preservation project on Route 222…

Tractor-Trailer Rollover Blocks Ramp On Rt 22: PennDOT A tractor-trailer rolled onto its side is blocking the on-ramp to Route 22 on Monday morning, Aug. 5., according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.  The tractor-trailer appears to have flipped exactly in front of the on-ramp from Elmerton Avenue to North Cameron Street/Route 22 Northbound near Wildwood Drive around 6:40 a.m., according to PennDOT's 511PA traffic cameras.  A crane came to the area and stood the vehicle upright around 9:40 a.m., but the area was still closed.  No injuries were reported.  Check back here for updates.
