IDA: Montgomery County Coroner IDs 3 People Who Died In Storm
Three Montgomery County residents who died as the remnants of Hurricane Ida passed through Pennsylvania have been identified, authorities said Friday. Maxine Weinstein, 68, of Fort Washington, died after a tree came down onto a home on Wednesday. Her cause of death is traumatic asphyxia and the manner of death is accidental, according to the Montgomery County Coroner's Office. Parks In Dauphin County Remain Closed As Flooding From Ida Continues
Two parks in Dauphin County are expected to remain closed after serious flooding following Hurricane Ida. McNaughton and Schiavoni parks will be closed at least through, "sometime next week," according to Swatara Township Police. McNaughton Park was in the direct flood path of Swatara Creek and has taken on significant amounts of water. The National Weather Service has confirmed seven tornados touched down in New Jersey and Pennsylvania Wednesday night in the remnants of Hurricane Ida.
