Woman Shot At Business Near University Of Maryland: Police
Police are investigating an overnight shooting at a business near the University of Maryland, College Park Campus on Tuesday, March 12. Officers responded to investigate reports of an off-campus assault with a weapon at a business on the 9000 block of Baltimore Avenue around 3:50 a.m. Police found that a woman had been shot by a suspect who fled in a vehicle. The woman was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Detectives believe the crime was not random in nature. The investigation is being led by the Prince George’s County Police Department. A storage facility full of hydraulic fluid went up in flames in Anne Arundel County over the weekend, leaving three businesses damaged, authorities said. A passerby called in the two-alarm blaze at 436 Central Ave. in Davidsonville around 7:55 p.m. on Saturday, March 9 and reported seeing “flames coming from the commercial structure roof,” crews said. A man is in serious but stable condition after a shooting in Baltimore County on Monday evening, police said. Officers responded to the shooting report near Hillsway Avenue and Saturn Court in Parkville around 4:45 p.m. and found a man with multiple gunshot wounds. A Baltimore man was killed in an early morning crash near the entrance of the South Locust Point Marine Terminal, authorities said. The crash occurred near the 2000 block of East McComas Street shortly before 4:50 a.m. Monday, March 11, the MDTA Police said.
