It happened around 8:30 a.m. near the corner of East Church Road and Yerkes Road, where traffic was shut down for crews to repair the damage, UMPD said.
As of Wednesday evening, the Aqua Pennsylvania service outage map shows an emergency shutdown on Yerkes Road from East Church Road to Shoemaker Road with an unknown number of customers affected.
The utility company estimates repairs will be complete by 9 p.m., according to its website.
