BB Gun PA Student Took To Elementary School 'Not Intended To Harm,' Police Say
Yeadon police stopped by WB Evans Elementary School on Monday after a student showed up to class with a BB gun, the department said. "The student in question was cooperative with police and school security," said borough police. "At no time were any of the students or staff in danger, the student did not intend to harm anyone." Police and school administrators are handling the incident, authorities said. Daily Voice has reached out to William Penn School District for comment.

Three Teens Charged In Shooting Near Philly Area High School
A trio of Penn Wood High School students face criminal charges after gunfire rang out just blocks from campus on Friday afternoon, Oct. 20, authorities say. “This was a truly brazen act,” said Lansdowne Police Chief Kenneth Rutherford. “Students were firing at other students during dismissal. Delco Middle Schooler Test Positive For Tuberculosis: Health Department
A person who attends Penn Wood Middle School in Darby Township has tested positive for tuberculosis, the Delaware County Health Department has announced. Officials said they are working with William Penn School District administrators to identify any students or staff who may have been exposed to the disease. Tuberculosis, or TB, is a bacterial infection that commonly affects the lungs, and can be deadly if not properly treated, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
