Frederick Douglass Mastery Locked Down After Deadly Shooting
A Philadelphia Charter School was locked down Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 12, following a fatal shooting just blocks away, police say. A 33-year-old man was shot multiple times on the 1900 block of North Croskey Street just before 2 p.m., the department said. He was pronounced dead at Temple Hospital minutes later, according to authorities. PPD did not report his name. The Philadelphia woman who was shot and killed on West Norris Street last week was a hard-working mother of two, her children say. Forty-two-year-old Laura Abrams had a gunshot wound to the head when police found her before sunrise on Wednesday, Nov. 22, Daily Voice reported. She was pronounced dead at the scene and homicide detectives are investigating, police have said. Woman Found Dead From Gunshot Wound To Head In North Philadelphia: Police
Philadelphia police responded to a report of an armed person early Wednesday morning and arrived at the scene to find a woman dead, the department told Daily Voice. Officers arrived at the 700 block of West Norris Street shortly after 5:30 a.m. on Nov. 22, authorities said. The victim, thought to be in her late 30s, had a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to PPD. No weapons were recovered at the scene and no arrest had been made by midday Friday, police said. The Homicide Detective Division is investigating.
