TSA officers at Newark Airport nabbed a Pennsylvania man who they said tried to bring a gun "artfully" taped and wrapped in an Ace bandage -- along with bullets stashed in a hollowed-out bar of soap -- onto a plane. The Chester, PA traveler told them the gun was "given to him by a deceased relative and he was planning to take it to Lagos, Nigeria," TSA Spokesperson Lisa Farbstein said Tuesday. TSA Busts Bethlehem Man With Loaded Gun At Lehigh Valley International Airport
A Bethlehem man was found with a loaded handgun Wednesday at the Lehigh Valley International Airport in Allentown, authorities said. TSA officers spotted the gun on the X-ray monitor at a security checkpoint, officials said. Police confiscated the 9mm handgun loaded with six bullets from the man’s carry-on bag, authorities said. The gun reportedly had one bullet in the chamber. It is the sixth gun seized by TSA officers at Lehigh Valley International Airport in 2021.

TSA: Man With Loaded Handgun Stopped At Harrisburg International Airport
A man with a loaded gun was stopped by the TSA at Harrisburg International Airport, officials said. A Carlisle man was apprehended at a security checkpoint when he placed a loaded handgun on the x-ray machine on July 23, TSA said. Airport police apprehended the man and confiscated the gun. He was brought in for questioning and charged before he was released. The charge details and the man's identity have not been released. Real ID Registration Deadline For Pennsylvania Residents Postponed To 2023
The Department of Homeland Security extended the REAL ID full enforcement date by 19 months, on Tuesday. The extension shifts the date from Oct. 1, 2021 to May 3, 2023.
