Fire Crews Rescue Driver From Upper Providence Crash
Firefighters rescued a driver from a crash in Upper Providence Township Monday evening, authorities said. Fire crews arrived to find a woman trapped in the driver's seat of a car that crashed into a pole between Oldstate Road and Fruitfarm Road around 6:10 p.m., according to Trappe Fire Company No. 1. Crews were able to extricate the woman after 10 minutes, authorities said. EMS treated and transported her to an area hospital for medical treatment. The scene was then turned over to the Upper Providence Township Police Department.

Collegeville Packing Supply Worker Airlifted After Hand Gets Stuck In Machine
A man was airlifted from a packing supply factory after fire crews freed him when his hand became stuck under a roller in a machine Thursday in Collegeville. Firefighters responded to Packaging Corporation Of America on 5 Iron Bridge Drive in Collegeville around 9:40 a.m., where they remained for nearly two hours freeing the man safely, Perkiomen Fire spokesman Ted Hodgins said. Support is surging for a Montgomery County family whose matriarch was airlifted and house destroyed in a devastating weekend fire. More than $49,800 had been raised as of Monday morning for the the Bannerman-Martins on a GoFundMe page following Sunday's blaze.
