Pedestrian Killed By Kia Crash In Philadelphia: Police A pedestrian was struck and killed by a Kia Optima on Aramingo Avenue, Philadelphia police announced on Friday, Dec. 27. The crash happened around 6:56 a.m. at the intersection of Huntingdon Street and Aramingo Avenue in the 26th District, police said. A man believed to be about 35 years old was hit by a southbound Kia Optima. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Philadelphia Fire Department medics at 7:11 a.m., according to authorities. Fatal Crash: Philly Motorcyclist Killed In 3-Vehicle Collision, Police Say A 34-year-old motorcyclist was killed Tuesday, Sept. 10 in a three-vehicle collision in Philadelphia, authorities said. The fatal crash occurred at approximately 3 p.m. on Woodhaven Road (Route 63) near Thornton Road, Philadelphia police said. The male rider, who was not identified, was traveling eastbound, and collided with both a vehicle and a box truck, also traveling eastbound, police said. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead by Medic 20 at 3:19 p.m., they said. Woodhaven Road was closed in both directions during an investigation.

Berks Bicyclist Dies In Crash On Route 222: Police A Berks County bicyclist was found dead by a loved one after he was hit by a vehicle on Route 222, according to authorities.  Northern Berks Regional Police said the cyclist was located on the highway between Rich Maiden Road and Pleasant Hill Road around 8:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 20.  The victim was 23-year-old Anson Burkholder of Maidencreek Township, the Berks County Coroner's Office confirmed to Daily Voice.  A family member found Burkholder near his damaged bicycle after he was late coming home and called police, the department said. The southbound lanes were closed between mile markers 36.6 and 34.5 as of 12 noon -- nearly 2.5 hours after the crash, PA State Trooper First Class Nathan T. Branosky told Daily Voice.
