Route 61 In Schuylkill County Reopens After Gas Line Break (

Route 61 between Frackville and St. Clair has reopened, PennDOT told Daily Voice Wednesday evening. The highway was shut down on Tuesday morning, May 14 after a contractor accidentally struck a gas main during a reconstruction project, officials said. Traffic was detoured to US 209, Route 901 and Interstate 81 while crews repaired the line. Note: This story has been updated.
