A Philadelphia man was sentenced to 25 years in New Jersey State Prison for killing a woman inside a Maple Shade motel, authorities said. Alexander Rivera, 27, pleaded guilty in July to aggravated manslaughter, according to Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia L. Bradshaw. His sentencing was on Friday, Oct. 13. A 33-year-old Philadelphia man has been arrested and charged for setting multiple fires in one business and damaging others during a string of burglaries in Camden County, authorities said. Police ID Man, 33, Killed By Car In South Jersey
A 33-year-old man was struck and killed by a car on Route 73 in South Jersey, authorities said. Michael Macintosh was struck near the Willow Road intersection just before 2 a.m. in Maple Shade, local police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver stopped and was cooperative with authorities, and the crash remains under investigation.
