Troopers Investigate 'Terroristic Threats' Toward Monroe County Wawa
State police were called to a Chesnuthill Township Wawa when an anonymous caller made "terroristic threats" last week, authorities said in a release. The Wawa at 1781 Route 209 got the calls around 10:30 p.m. Friday, April 19, troopers said. The store was temporarily closed and employees were evacuated while police "conducted a walk-through and assessed the building," according to the release. Nothing suspicious was found and the store reopened, police said. The matter remains under investigation by PSP's Fern Ridge station.

Driver Dies Weeks After Carbon Co. Crash That Killed Passenger: Coroner
A second person has died following a single-car crash in Lansford Borough on March 9, according to the Lehigh County Coroner's Office. James R. Carroll, 47, of Summit Hill, died from complications of multiple traumatic injuries, officials said. The manner of death was accidental. Two People Found Dead Off Schuylkill County Highway: Troopers
Pennsylvania State Police are investigating after two bodies were found in a wooded area in Schuylkill County Tuesday morning, Oct. 10. The pair was discovered around 3:30 a.m., according to a release. Troopers said both bodies were near Ferndale Road in New Philadelphia Borough, about a mile east of Route 209. The Schuylkill County Coroner's Office pronounced them dead by 6 a.m. Their identities were not reported. The case remains under investigation by PSP's Troop L.

A US Navy veteran is dead after veering off Route 209 and striking a guardrail on Sunday, Aug. 13, officials say. The crash happened near the intersection with Tuscarora Mountain Drive in Schuylkill Township, Schuylkill County, around 9:30 a.m., said Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio. Brian P. Poconos Motorcyclist Killed In Labor Day Crash
A motorcyclist died after colliding with another vehicle in the Poconos on Labor Day, authorities said. Kayson Calim, 26, was traveling south on Route 209 near Wehr Lake Road in Chestnuthill Township around 6:30 p.m. when a car was turning left out of an Exxon gas station onto Route 209 north, according to PA State Police. Calim lost control of the motorcycle and struck the car, state police said. The Bushkill resident was pronounced dead at the scene after being struck head-on, authorities said.
