Two Women Found Stabbed To Death In Northeast Philadelphia Basement, Authorities Say City police are investigating a double homicide in Philadelphia's Crescentville neighborhood, authorities said on Tuesday, May 21.  Two women were found with multiple stab wounds in the basement of a home on the 6000 block of Bingham Street, PPD said.  The victims, aged 58 and 75, were pronounced dead at 1:45 p.m.  Police said they had no motive and no arrests as of Tuesday afternoon.  Homicide detectives are investigating.

Nafiysh Knox-Schenck Escaped Custody, Philly Police Say City police are looking for a man who escaped the back of a squad car in Philadelphia on Monday morning, May 13, authorities say.  Nafiysh Knox-Schenck, 32, was arrested on a warrant for alleged Violations of the Uniform Firearms Act, PPD said. A gun was recovered during his arrest, according to officials.  After he was placed in a police car on West Collum Street, an "unknown person" opened the door and he escaped, the department said.  Knox-Schenck fled east on Collum Street on foot, according to police.  Anyone who spots him should call 911, they added.

Details Emerge In PPD Shooting Of Maurice Samuels Officials have released new details in the police shooting of a man allegedly armed with a hammer in Philadelphia last Saturday, April 20.  Authorities said 23-year-old Maurice Samuels was at an East Cliveden Street apartment with two women when he got into an argument and was asked to leave. Teen In 'Critical Condition' Weapon Found After Philly Shooting, Police Say A 19-year-old is in the hospital following a shooting in Philadelphia on Friday, police say.  The teen was shot in the lower back along the highway in the 900 block of Locust Avenue, in Philly's Andalusia neighborhood at 6:03 p.m. on Feb. 2.  Officers arriving at the scene took him to Albert Einstein Medical Center, "where he is currently in critical condition," as stated in a police release.  A weapon was recovered, according to the PPD.
