Support is surging for the family of a beloved 46-year-old mother of three who was killed in a murder-suicide in Montgomery County on Monday.
As of Friday, nearly $5,000 had been raised on a GoFundMe page for Carla Forde's children, one of whom, despite being employed and a full-time student, requires financial assistance to support her younger siblings, according to organizer Aisha Sheikh.
Forde was shot and killed by her husband, Edward Thornton, 42, who then turned the gun on himself at their home on Chestnut Street in Pottstown, the Montgomery County DA's Office previously said.

Getaway Driver Takes Guilty Plea In ChesCo Home Invasion Murder Of Teen Boy
A Berks County man took a guilty plea in the Chester County home invasion murder of a teenage boy, authorities announced Thursday.
Jonathan Malave, 36, of Reading, pled guilty to third-degree murder, robbery, and conspiracy to commit robbery for his role in the killing of 17-year-old David Doyle III in Pottstown, according to the Chester County District Attorney's Office.
Malave drove the car carrying two of three co-defendants after the murder, authorities said.

One Dead, One Hurt In Berks County Motorcycle Crash
One person died and another was injured in a motorcycle crash in Berks County over the weekend, authorities said.
A car was turning left from Fourth Street onto Route 100 in Bally when the motorcycle, going south on Route 100, struck the car around 6:30 p.m. Sunday, WFMZ reports citing state police.
The motorcyclist, Robert Snyder, 32, of Pottstown, died at 2:20 a.m. Monday at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, the Lehigh County Coroner's Office said.
An autopsy will be performed on Sept. 21 to determine the cause of death. The manner of death is accident.
