Masked Burglars Tried To Enter Montco Home, Authorities Say Three men attempted to burglarize a Lower Moreland residence in broad daylight last month, township police said in a release on Wednesday, July 31.  One suspect broke a fence lock and forced his way into the backyard of a home near Pine and Byberry roads on July 5, according to investigators. The second suspect, who was wearing a surgical mask and a hat, knocked on the front door of the home.  The trio tried to get inside through a sliding glass door at the rear of the house but fled when they saw someone inside, police added. Michael Gonsalves Charged With Lighting Montco Home On Fire Lower Moreland police were called about an early morning break-in on Sunday, March 10, and arrived to find suspects fleeing a burning home, the department said in a release.  Michael Gonsalves, 42, has been charged with arson, evading arrest, and multiple related counts, authorities said.  It happened around 4 a.m. on the 2200 block of Pine Road, according to police. Burglars Return To PA Neighborhood For Third Time This Month: Authorities Lower Moreland police are investigating another overnight break-in at a township home — the third of its kind in the last month, according to authorities.  It happened on Saturday, Aug. 5 at a residence near Pine Road, the department said in a release. While the victims were out of the house, two suspects kicked in a side door around 9:30 p.m., investigators said.  The burglars tripped the security alarm and only made off with "one valuable item" before fleeing, police continued.
