Pedestrian Struck, Killed By Train In Berks County: Report A person was struck and killed by a freight train early Tuesday, July 26 in Berks County, Reading Eagle reports. A train struck the female pedestrian around 1:15 a.m. at the Columbia Avenue crossing in Sinking Spring, and her body was discovered near the Woodrow Avenue crossing, the outlet says. Allentown Police Seek Driver In Deadly Hit-Run Authorities were looking for a driver who took off after fatally striking a pedestrian overnight Tuesday, Feb. 15 in Allentown. The driver of a white Acura TSX hit a pedestrian at 17th Street and Sumner Avenue just after 3 a.m., Allentown police said. The victim was taken by EMS to an area hospital where they died, police said. The pedestrian’s identity is pending notification of next of kin. Allentown Man, 81, Struck, Killed By Tractor-Trailer In Lehigh County An 81-year-old Allentown man was struck and killed by a tractor-trailer on Rt. 222 in Upper Macungie Township Wednesday. Officers responded to the 9300 block of Hamilton Boulevard around 2:15 p.m. when they found Gerald Burian dead at the scene after being hit by the tractor-trailer, Lt. Peter Nickischer of the Upper Macungie Police Department told WFMZ. The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured and was cooperating with investigators, police told 69 News. State Police: Girl, 15, Struck And Killed By Car On Route 80 A 15-year-old girl was struck and killed by a car on Route 80 early Tuesday morning, state police said.  The girl ran into the road and was hit by an unknown vehicle eastbound near milepost 45.3 in Parsippany-Troy Hills just before 3:30 a.m., NJSP Trooper Alejandro Goez told Daily Voice. The girl was pronounced dead at the scene, Goez said. Her name was not released. The center and right lanes were closed for about three hours during the crash investigation.
