Ecker was the only person involved in a crash into a guide rail on Route 94 on Tuesday, Pennsylvania State Police announced on Thursday, April 20, 2023.  It is believed that alcohol was a factor in a crash in the 7900 block of Carlisle Pike in Huntington Township on April 18 around 11:45 p.m., state police said. Christopher Joseph Larry Speelman, 58, New Oxford, confessed at the Gettysburg State Police barracks on July 27 to the murder of Edna Laughman, 85, of Oxford Township over three decades earlier. Laughman was raped and murdered in her home located on 1500 block of Carlisle Pike on Aug. 13, 1987.
