Grocery Store Police Shootout: Slain Suspect Dead Amid Struggle In Philadelphia, Cops Say
Police have released details in a shootout that killed a 28-year-old gunman and injured an officer in a Philadelphia grocery store.
Officers near Mascher and Cambria Streets went into a nearby grocery store around 8:45 p.m. Friday, Jan. 26, and approached a group of males standing in the store, city police said.
While trying to stop one of them, the offender, later identified as Alexander Spencer, scuffled with police, and then fired one shot, hitting an officer in the leg, police said. In response, the wounded officer’s partner returned fire, striking Spencer.

A man is going to spend the rest of his life behind bars for killing a teenager at a Sunoco over an unpaid phone bill, the Lancaster District Attorney's office announced on Friday, Jan. 26.
Carlos Almanzar-Torres, now 23, who brutally killed Damian Santiago, 19, at the Sunoco located at 111 West Orange Street around 10 p.m. on Sunday, Mar. 11, 2022. He was sentenced on Jan. 23 after a jury convicted him of first-degree murder and two counts of recklessly endangering another person.

Philadelphia police have named the two people who were killed in a shooting in North Philadelphia early Sunday morning, Jan. 14.
Authorities said they were called to a suspected speakeasy, or unlicensed bar, on the 2400 block of Myrtlewood Street just before 1 a.m.
They arrived to find six people suffering from gunshot wounds, the department told Daily Voice.

Double Homicide: Infant, Woman, Man Shot In Allentown, Police Say
A man, a woman, and a baby were found shot in Allentown, Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio told Daily Voice on Saturday.
The unnamed 66-year-old man, a 44-year-old woman, and a 1-year-old infant were found shot in the 100 block of Chestnut Street, Allentown, Lehigh County, at 8:49 p.m. on Dec. 29, the coroner detailed.
The woman was pronounced dead at 9:59 PM and the baby boy was pronounced dead at 10:01 p.m., according to coroner Buglio.

Feds Charge NJ, PA Firearm Companies With Illegally Storing, Selling Ghost Guns
Three New Jersey and Pennsylvania-based firearms dealers and vendors are being charged with civil complaints for failing to comply with New Jersey’s firearms public nuisance law, federal officials announced.
