Two Pennsylvania State Troopers were hurt and at least one was disarmed while responding to a "disturbance" in Chambersburg, according to a release by state police on Thursday, June 8, 2023. A one-year-old boy was seriously hurt in a crash involving a hit-and-run involving a pedophile, authorities say. Robert Ray Ickes, 56, of Fannettsburg, fled the scene of a crash in the area 20800 block of Back Road in Fannett Township around 5:40 p.m. on August 9, according to a release by state police. A 30-year-old mother has been charged with involuntary manslaughter after an investigation determined she "negligently contributed to the death” of her six-day-old son in 2021, according to a release by Pennsylvania state police.
