49 Students Injured In Head-On Pennsylvania School Bus Crash Forty-nine Pennsylvania students were injured in a head-on crash en route to their second day of classes on Wednesday, Sept. 6, authorities said. The crash happened on State Route 115 when the operator of a flat-bed tow truck suffered a medical emergency, and crossed into oncoming traffic just before 8:10 p.m. in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania State Police said at a press conference.
