Suspect Charged For Philly Shooting That Injured 9: Authorities
More than a year after nine people were hurt in a Kensington shooting, one man faces criminal charges, Philadelphia police announced.
Michael Smith-Davis, 25, was arrested Thursday, Jan. 11 for attempted murder, criminal conspiracy, aggravated assault, and related counts, said city police in a release.
The shooting happened late on Nov. 5, 2022, authorities have said. Police responded to the 800 block of East Allegheny Avenue to find nine people suffering from gunshot wounds. All were taken to Temple University Hospital where four were placed in critical condition and …
Missing Philadelphia Senior May Be In Danger, Authorities Warn
Philadelphia police are asking for the public's help in tracking down an endangered missing senior.
Norman Sweeney, 77, hasn't been seen since Monday afternoon, Oct. 23, authorities said.
He was last spotted along the 500 block of East Allegheny Avenue in Kensington, near Lewis Elkin Elementary School, according to PPD.
Sweeney is 6-foot-1 and 165 pounds with a thin build, gray hair, and a mustache, police said. He was wearing a black jacket, a sweater, multicolored pants with maroon stripes on the sides, and red, white, and blue sneakers.

Two winning Pennsylvania lottery tickets worth $128,000 and $550,000 were sold in Philadelphia.
The winning Treasure Hunt ticket from the Saturday, Oct. 23 drawing was sold at 7-Eleven on West Passyunk Avenue.
The ticket matched all five balls drawn, 5-8-12-21-25, to win $128,000.
The 7-Eleven will receive a $500 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
A winning Cash 5 with Quick Cash ticket from the Tuesday, Oct. 26 drawing matched all five balls drawn, 4-5-15-21-41, to win $550,000.
