Berks Cops Find Drug Lab During Search Of Home: Authorities
A Berks County man is charged with manufacturing drugs after police searched his Boyertown home. Eastern Berks Regional Police officers and state troopers were investigating a "suspicious situation" at a property on the 200 block of Shaner Street when they made the discovery Wednesday, May 31, they said in a release. Inside, police said they found "various different household chemicals" being used to make an "illegal substance." A Lebanon City accused meth cooker hid under a boat as his apartment exploded just after 9:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 4, city police said in a statement sent to Daily Voice on Thursday, Sept. 8. A 44-year-old required hospitalization after he fled from a high-speed police pursuit on foot, Pennsylvania state police say. Jeffrey Jerome Logan of Harrisburg was driving a white Hyundai Sonata when Trooper Whittington spotted him "commit multiple summary traffic violations," on May 21, as stated in the state police release. What began as an active smoke alarm check resulted in the discovery of ghost guns and a meth lab inside a Delaware County home on Sunday, May 8, authorities said.
