Pair Of 'Juveniles' Shot In Berks County: Police
Two young men were hospitalized with gunshot wounds after being attacked on a Berks County street late Saturday night, according to authorities. It happened in Douglass, township police wrote in a release. A pair of "juvenile males" were walking along the 1200 block of Reading Avenue just before midnight on Saturday, June 10, the department said. Responding officers found one victim with a gunshot wound to the gut and another with injuries to the knee and shoulder, per the release. 9-1-1 Caller Told Berks Police He Was Returning Fire — He Lied, Authorities Say
A 9-1-1 caller who told police he was returning fire when he shot at two men in a vehicle turned out to be the only gunman in the Berks County incident, authorities said. Zachary Thomas Harmon, 29, called police on July 29 saying two men that he knows pulled up to his 81 Poole Hill Road home and fired four of five shots from their car after an argument around 3:15 a.m., Douglass Township police said. Man On Drugs Found Lying Face Down In Berks County Park, Police Say
A man lying face down in a Berks County park was found to be under the influence of drugs, police said. Officers responded to the entrance of the Goose Run Park, off Colebrookdale Road, on reports of a man lying face down in the grass around 3:30 p.m. on May 17, Douglass Township police said. The man was acting irrational and would go in and out of consciousness, and was found to be under the influence of drugs of synthetic drugs, police said. The officer escorted EMS who transported the male to the hospital for treatment. The incident remains under investigation.
