Violent Threats Place Chester County School On Lockdown
For the second time in as many weeks, Coatesville Area High School was the subject of violent threats on Thursday and Friday, Oct. 13 and 14, authorities have announced. In a release from the Chester County District Attorney's Office, officials said classes were suspended Friday after threats were made on the anonymous tip-sharing app Safe2Say. The closure came just hours after police canine teams searched the school for weapons on Thursday, following up on a separate threat made on the same app. No weapons were recovered in the Thursday search, and students were dismissed. …

1 Injured In Chester County Drive-By Shooting
One person was injured in a drive-by shooting in Chester County Thursday, July 7, authorities said. The shooting happened on the 3500 Block of Lincoln Highway in Thorndale around 5:40 p.m., Caln Township police said. Police believe the shots were fired from a dark-colored Audi A5 or S5 coupe made between 2013 and 2016. Amir Flowers, 20, was taken to Paoli Hospital, where he is expected to survive, police said. The vehicle was last seen fleeing eastbound on Lincoln Highway. Anyone with information is urged to call 911 or 610-383-7000.

Mamadou Kallie, 23, took his 22-month-old child out of the Toyota Corolla after killing the boy's mother and a woman who was five months pregnant Sunday, May 29, Coatesville, Chester County DA Deb Ryan said. A 16-year-old boy is wanted on attempted murder charges for stabbing one of his peers in a Coatesville Area Senior High School bathroom Tuesday, May 24, authorities said. UPDATE: Oddell Cannon surrendered to police Tuesday night. Woman Accused Of Bringing Knife To Coatesville Area High School Fight
A 42-year-old woman who police say brought a knife to a fight on a high school campus in Chester County has been arrested and charged. Shalynn R. Taylor orchestrated a fight between "a large group of adults and students" in the parking lot of the Coatesville Area High School around 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 17, according to Caln Township police. Caln Police Seek Witnesses In Hit-Run Crash That Hospitalized 24-Year-Old Man
Caln Township police are looking for anyone with information about a hit-and-run crash that happened on Monday and left one person hospitalized. An unidentified 24-year-old pedestrian was struck by a car at approximately 6:10 a.m. on the 1600 block of Lincoln Highway, just east of Veterans Drive, local police said.
