A 70-year-old Lehigh County man was arrested after he tried to hire an undercover Bethlehem police detective posing as a 14-year-old girl for sex with her and her 9-year-old sister, according to LehighValleyLive. A man suspected of beating and stabbing a woman in Bethlehem remained at large following a high-speed police chase on Route 78, authorities said. Christopher Alexander, 35, broke into a home on East Eighth Street in Bethlehem, punched a woman in the face and stabbed her around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, NJ.com reports citing court records. The victim had ended her relationship with Alexander earlier that day, the report says. Police Nab Man Accused Of Shooting Woman Twice During Lehigh Valley Attempted Homicide
Police arrested a man they say shot a woman twice in the back during an attempted Lehigh Valley homicide last December. Terell Gailyard is accused of firing a handgun that struck the victim in the back twice during an argument in Bethlehem on Dec. 29, police said. He was arrested on a warrant Thursday evening following an investigation by police in Bethlehem and Allentown, the agencies said. Gailyard was charged with attempted homicide and other similar offenses, police said. "Successful joint operation with our partners at the Bethlehem Police Department," Allentown Police said.

A driver was pronounced dead following a crash on Route 378 in Bethlehem Sunday afternoon, reports say.
