Hundreds Of Commuters Briefly Stranded In SEPTA Debacle
Some 250 Philadelphia commuters were left stranded on a "dead" track in West Philadelphia Thursday morning, Feb. 22, transit authorities confirmed to Daily Voice. It happened during the morning rush hour around 7:30 a.m., SEPTA said. "Amtrak mistakenly routed a Center City-bound SEPTA Regional Rail train to a dead track that was not receiving power," a spokesperson wrote. Road Rage Driver Opens Fire On Schuylkill Expressway, Troopers Say
State police are searching for the driver of a Mustang who they say fired a gun at another motorist on the Schuylkill Expressway during a road rage incident. It happened in the eastbound lanes on I-76 near the 30th Street Station, Trooper Shyeasha Ayala wrote in a release. State police were called about a car accident just after 8:15 p.m. on Tuesday, May 2. Pedestrian Killed By Train In Philadelphia: SEPTA
A SEPTA train hit and killed a pedestrian in Philadelphia Wednesday, March 1, transportation authorities told Daily Voice. It happened at about 1:15 p.m., SEPTA said. A person on the tracks near 30th Street was struck by a Market-Frankford Line train, and was later pronounced dead at the scene, they added. Baltimore Man Repeatedly Stabs Philly Train Employee In Bathroom Fight Gone Wrong: Police
A Philadelphia train station employee is in serious condition after being stabbed by a Baltimore man, authorities said. Adiren Mayo, 29, allegedly stabbed the employee twice in the chest with a folding knife after they got into a fight in the bathroom of the 30th Street Station, Philadelphia Police said. This happened around 12:45 a.m. on Monday, May 23, police said. The 49-year-old employee was hospitalized in stable yet serious condition. Mayo was later arrested and charged accordingly, police said.
