SEPTA Suspends Doylestown Service While Crews Battle 3-Alarm Ambler Fire

SEPTA service has been suspended Thursday in Doylestown while crews work to extinguish a multi-alarm fire in Ambler, officials said.

The announcement was made on Twitter around 11 a.m. It was not immediately clear when service was expected to resume.

Firefighters were called to the three-alarm fire at Ebner's Auto Body Shop on South Main Street near East Butler Avenue around 10 a.m., according to initial reports and the Wissahickon Fire Company.

Crews were urging motorists to steer clear of the area.

It was not immediately clear if anyone had been hurt.
