Christopher Matton, 25, of Horsham, was arrested Thursday, March 2, and arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Jay S. Friedenberg, the DA said.
The charges follow an investigation that began last year, when social media site Reddit alerted the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children to suspicious activity from an account, Steele said. From there, county detectives traced the account's IP address to Matton's Easton Road home, officials wrote.
On Nov. 9, 2022, investigators serving a search warrant at the residence seized a laptop, a hard drive, and a cell phone, the DA continued. After a forensic analysis, officers said Matton's devices contained "more than 100" offending photos depicting male and female victims "between the ages of under 6 years old and 12 years old."
Matton will appear before Magisterial District Judge Harry J. Nesbitt III for a preliminary hearing on Thursday, March 16.
