The Elm Terrace Gardens in Lansdale on Dec. 10 reported 43 new cases, five hospitalizations and seven deaths, NorthPennNow reports.
Four days later, families learned in an email an email from President and CEO Timothy Murphy that seven people had died.
“It is with a heavy heart that I inform you that seven additional residents from Skilled Nursing have succumbed to complications from coronavirus,” Murphy said, noting an additional 15 cases. “We continue to keep these residents and their loved ones in our thoughts and prayers."
Elm Terrace is receiving assistance from Pennsylvania National Guard soldiers assisting with maintenance and housekeeping.
Family members are encouraged to drop off food and supplies at the cafe entrance, though in-house visitation is suspended in an effort to slow the spread of the virus at Elm Terrace.
