Inmate Escapes Prison Work Release At Pennsylvania Walmart: Sheriff

A 46-year-old inmate escaped from the Cumberland County Prison during work release, the sheriff's office announced on Monday, Aug. 19.

William Kenneth Rosner, most recently of Lemoyne but previously of Philadelphia, Allentown, Northampton, and Harrisburg — is wanted on a felony escape charge after walking away from the Cumberland County Prison Work Release Center on Mondy morning, Aug. 19, the sheriff explained, and as detailed in court records. 

His last known location was the Walmart in Carlisle, according to the sheriff's office. 

Rosner was serving time for a misdemeanor drug charge he pleaded guilty to in July in Dauphin County, court records show. He had a record dating back to 2000 in Lehigh, York, Dauphin, Northampton, and Philadelphia counties. His offenses included endangering the welfare of children, driving under the influence, receiving stolen property, drug possession, retail theft, driving without a license, trespass, criminal mischief, and disorderly conduct.
