Four Children Shot In North Philadelphia: Police

Four people were shot — including a 7-year-old child — in North Philadelphia on Thursday, May 11, city police told Daily Voice.

It happened in Ogontz section, on the 5900 block of North 21st Street, just before 6 p.m., the department said. 

A 17-year-old boy was shot in the face and driven to Albert Einstein Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, police said. 

The 7-year-old victim was shot once in the upper thigh and is in stable condition, they continued. A 15-year-old boy who was shot twice in the back and twice in the head is also in stable condition, as is a 16-year-old boy who was hit once in the shoulder, police added. 

No arrest has been made, and no weapons were recovered from the scene as of Thursday evening.
