A 70-year-old East Petersburg man faces felony and misdemeanor charges after allegedly fleeing police during a traffic detail in Warwick Township, the Northern Lancaster County Regional Police Department announced on Wednesday, Nov. 20.
Stefan Hoenicke, of East Petersburg, was driving a white Honda CRV southbound on Lititz Pike around 9:52 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 3, when he allegedly attempted to evade a traffic detail conducted by NLCRPD and the U.S. Secret Service near W. Millport Road, police said in the release.

An 82-year-old grandma nearly lost $15,000 to a bail scam artist on Monday, June 13, police say.
Engerbert Perez Jimenez, 26, of Reading, called the Lancaster County woman and pretended to be her son’s lawyer claiming her grandson was in a serious car crash and was in the ICU and needed $8,000, according to the release by the Northern Lancaster County Regional police department.

A self-described "single father that works hard for his son" has been arrested for child abuse and possession of child porn.
Scott Allen Bess, 45, of the 900 Block of Lititz Pike, Warwick Township, has been under investigation on suspicions of possessing child porn for months, according to Northern Lancaster Regional police detectives.
He was arrested for four felonies: sexual abuse of children, child pornography, and two counts of criminal use of a communication facility, police say and court records confirm.

Authorities ID Driver, 21, Killed In Warwick Township Crash
One person died and another was hospitalized in an overnight crash in Warwick Township, authorities said Saturday.
Renny Joel Kline, 21, was behind the wheel of a vehicle heading north on Highlands Drive when he crashed near the Breezy Knoll apartment complex around 1 a.m. April 17, police said.
Kline, of Lititz, was pronounced dead while his friend -- identified only as a young man who was friends with Kline -- was hospitalized with unknown injuries.
