A tractor-trailer crashed on Interstate 81 — rolling over, spilling goods and fuel, and injuring the driver, Pennsylvania Department of Transportation spokesperson Fritzi Schreffler told Daily Voice on Wednesday morning. A tractor-trailer en route to a Mechanicsburg grocery store overturned on a ramp along Interstate 81 on Tuesday evening, Pennsylvania Department of Transportation spokesperson Fritzi Schreffler told Daily Voice. An RV fire turned brush fire halted traffic on Interstate 81 near the Maryland and Pennsylvania state lines on Wednesday, authorities told Daily Voice. A tractor-trailer driver has died after driving off Interstate 81 — onto the train tracks below, authorities announced Monday night. James C. Hayworth, 58, of Chatsworth, GA was trapped in his trailer after accidentally driving his vehicle off I-81 onto the train tracks below, the Pennsylvania State Police explained in a release the following morning. The Fairview Township Fire Department along with mutual aid responded to the "well-involved" fire on Interstate 76 westbound around 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 19.
