Pedestrian Hospitalized After Strike In Harrisburg: Dispatch A pedestrian is in the hospital after being struck by a vehicle on Monday afternoon, Oct. 14, according to the Dauphin County Department of Public Safety Emergency Communications Center. The person was struck at the intersection of 21st and Belleview streets in Harrisburg around 3:12 p.m., according to dispatch logs. They were taken to the hospital with unknown injuries. Details about the victim were unavailable. The striking vehicle stayed on the scene, according to dispatch. Pedestrian ID'd After Fatal Hit-Run Strike Near Dutch Wonderland: Coroner The pedestrian who was fatally struck by a vehicle outside a hotel near multiple amusement parks has been identified by the Lancaster County Coroner on Friday, Aug. 30.  John Zimmerman, 72, original of Lititz but recently of Lancaster, died at the scene of the strike at 2270 Lincoln Highway East at Fairfield Inn, according to the coroner. Teen Girl Struck Dead In Lancaster, Coroner Says A 15-year-old girl was found dead on the side of the road on Monday morning, Aug. 5 the Lancaster County Coroner Eric Bieber announced. The coroner had been called to a pedestrian struck at 1420 Beaver Valley Pike in Strasburg Township at 3:28 a.m., according to the release. The teenage girl was found by investigators and the coroner along the side of the road following the vehicle strike, as detailed in the release. The pedestrian was hit crossing where there was no crosswalk— even though there are nearby crossing— in the area of 478 Fifth Avenue in Chambersburg, police determined through an investigation.
