A woman was left with bruises on her face and arms after a convict accosted her vehicle on Route 222 and robbed her, West Earl Township Police announced in a release on Tuesday, June, 11. Michael Eugene Ermold Jr., 57 of Lancaster (who is reportedly experiencing homelessness), is accused of attacking a woman near mile marked 36.8 shortly before 7 p.m. on June 4, the police detailed in a release. A fall into a open grate hole has left a worker dead at a Pennsylvania Holdiay Inn on Sunday, officials say. Alexei Rodriguez-Balceiro, 42 of the 430 block of East King Street in Lancaster, died at 3:20 p.m. following multiple attempts to save his life after he was pulled unconcious from an air vent shaft, the Lancaster City Bureau of Police and the County Coroner's Office announced on Monday. The Pennsylvania State Police are concerned an accused child rapist may have more victims. Frank Breneman, 71 of Lititz, is accused of raping and sexually assaulting two children for 12 years beginning when they were 4 and 11 years old, PSP Troop J announced on Thursday, June 6. An all-terrain vehicle rollover crash has led to the death of a Pequea Valley High School student. Tyler Yoder, 18 of Narvon previously of Rohrerstown and Lancaster, passed away following the ATV crash in the 5800 block of Northeimer Road in Salisbury Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police. A Lancaster man is accused of ditching a bag full of drugs while fleeing city police on Sunday night, May 19. Jose Burgos-Garcia, 29, is charged with possession with intent to deliver, authorities said in a release. Lancaster police have charged arrested two men with raping a 16-year-old victim in the city in 1997, one who was an officer tasked with the initial investigation. Andrew Selby, 54, and Roberto Rosario, 44, became the center of an investigation in March 2024, when Detective Sgt. Jessica Higgins was made aware of one alleged incident. A major retailer primarily located in malls and headquartered in Pennsylvania is set to close all 543 of its stores following its third Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing.
