A tractor-trailer crash on I-83 North involving a fuel leak caused lane closures for several hours late Monday night, Dec. 2, Strinestown Community Fire Company 26 announced. Crews were dispatched at 11:33 p.m. to mile marker 29.9 for a reported motor vehicle accident with a rollover, fire officials said. Chief 26 (Wertz) established command upon arrival, as Rescue 26 and other responding units began assessing the scene. Passenger Vehicle Causes Tractor-Trailer Rollover On I-283: PennDOT
A passenger vehicle caused a tractor-trailer to overturn on Interstate 283, Pennsylvania Department of Transportation spokesperson Fritzi Schreffler told Daily Voice on Friday, Sept. 27. The rollover crash happened on I-283 North at Exit 2: PA 441 - Swatara at 2:07 p.m. according to Lancaster County Wide Communications and PennDOT's 511PA. The shoulder closed around 2:44 p.m., according to 511PA. The crash involved a passenger, Schreffler tells us, explaining that that vehicle is believed to have caused the crash. Multi-Vehicle Crash Closes Part Of I-81 In Central PA
A multi-vehicle crash closed part of Interstate 81 closed in central Pennsylvania on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and state police. The crash happened on I-81 southbound at Exit 52 - US 11/To Pennsylvania Turnpike I-76 around 3:30 p.m. on Mar. 16, according to PennDOT. Pennsylvania state police trooper Megan Ammerman clarified it involves a vehicle fuel leak near mile marker 51.4 in Middlesex Township, Carlisle. Drivers are asked to avoid the area. There is no word on when the road will reopen.
