Barricaded Gunman Strangled Someone Before Standoff In Central PA: Police A 53-year-old gunman seriously assaulted someone before he barricaded himself in his home and fired two shots on Monday, police announced the following afternoon.  Scott Richard Golicher "was transported to the East Lampeter Township Police Department and later transferred to a local hospital by ambulance for evaluation before being released," as stated in the police release.  The township was called to his home in the 100 block of Crest Avenue at 11:19 p.m. on Sept. 25, 2023, as detailed in the release.
