Juneteenth Rises Over Lancaster For The First Time Ahead of The First Ever Federal Celebration The Juneteenth was officially raised over the city of Lancaster on Friday morning ahead of the first ever, federally recognized, national celebration of the holiday. Juneteenth became the newest federal holiday Thursday. "All Americans can feel the power of this day, and learn from our history,” President Biden said at a ceremony at the White House.
