New Owners Buying Dutch Wonderland, Kennywood Among Dozen Northeast Attractions A major shake-up in the amusement park industry is bringing some of the Northeast's most beloved attractions under new ownership. Herschend Family Entertainment, which owns other theme parks like Dollywood and Silver Dollar City, is acquiring all of Palace Entertainment's properties, Herschend said in a news release on Tuesday, Mar. 18. Palace Entertainment is the US subsidiary of Spanish-based Parques Reunidos. The acquisition means Herschend will own Lake Compounce, a Bristol, Connecticut, landmark known as the oldest amusement park in the US and the home of Boulder Dash, believed to…

Movie Theaters Offering Tickets For As Low As $1 This Summer Parents looking for a fun way to get out of the house with the kids this summer and not break the bank may be able to turn to their local movie theater for a solution. Two New Rides Full Of Jolly Rancher Flavor Opening At Hersheypark Hersheypark has announced that two new rides will be opening this coming season at the park and they both have exciting new themes and scents. One is called Jolly Rancher Remix: Take a Flavor Ride which is a roller coaster and the other is called Mix'd Flavored By Jolly Rancher. Both rides feature five different flavor rides with different music, scents and lights in classic Jolly Rancher flavors like Green Apple and Watermelon.
