A tractor-trailer crashed on Interstate 81 — rolling over, spilling goods and fuel, and injuring the driver, Pennsylvania Department of Transportation spokesperson Fritzi Schreffler told Daily Voice on Wednesday morning. The crash happened around 12:45 a.m. but the road was partially blocked for clean-up efforts until 8: 30 a.m. on Dec. 20, according to Schreffler and PennDOT's 511PA. A Shippensburg woman initially confessed to her girlfriend and sister, but now – on the victim's birthday – she has pleaded guilty in front of a judge to shooting a 48-year-old mother of two, the Cumberland County District Attorney's office announced on Friday. Mennonite Toddler ID'd After Fatal Train Strike In Central PA
A 15-months and 14-days-old boy has been identified after being struck by a Norfolk Southen Train on Thursday. Landis Sensenig Newswanger was hit by a Norfolk Southern train running along the tracks in his backyard in the 400 block of West Main Street, South Newton Township, Cumberland County at 10:04 a.m. on Dec. 7, according to state police and later identified in his obituary.
