Amish Toddler Benjamin S. Blank Killed In Farm Accident
A 3-year-old Amish boy has died following an incident on his family's farm on Tuesday night, Lancaster County Chief Deputy Coroner Eric Bieber announced on June 5. Benjamin S. Blank “had been in a farming-related accident involving a piece of ventilation machinery for [a] barn," Chief Deputy Coroner Bieber stated in the release and according to his obituary. The incident happened at his home on the 280 block of Bell Road in Christiana, Colerain Township around 8 p.m. on June 4, as detailed in the release. 2 In Lancaster General After Tree Uprooted In Quarryville
Two people are in the hospital with "serious injuries" after a tree fell on their SUV on Wednesday, Pennsylvania State Police announced that evening. The tree landed on the Toyota Highlander along Kirkwood Pike/PA Route 472 in Quarryville, Colerain Township at 12:15 p.m. on April 3, PSP Trooper James Grothey detailed in the release. Heavy rain and winds uprooted the tree sending it down on the SUV's windshield — trapping the pair inside the vehicle, Grothey explained. A bystander with a fire extinguisher and a Quarryville firefighter with a garden hose battled a house fire, following the two-vehicle crash in Quarryville on Thursday, authorities say. The force of a two-vehicle crash sent a car into a home in the 900 block of Kirkwood Pike in Colerain Township at 8:20 p.m. on July 13, 2023, fire officials said. When the fire crews arrived they found one vehicle in the road and the other one went into the "B" side of the house, according to the Quarryville Fire Department. Grandfather Killed In PA Crash: State Police
An 83-year-old man died at following a crash at an intersection in Colerain Township on Friday, Sept. 9, authorities say. Joseph Fisher, of Oxford, was driving his 2010 Chrysler Town & Country minivan when he "failed to yield" while attempting to make a left turn onto Kirkwood Pike from Noble Road at 8:49 a.m., Pennsylvania state police say. He slammed into a 2005 Kenworth Northwest, driven by a man from Gap who suffered minor injuries, according to the police release. Cement Truck Crash Sends Vehicle Into Quarryville House
A cement truck hit a passenger car, sending it into a home in Lancaster County on Thursday, according to Quarryville Fire Department. The crash happened in the 1700 block of Kirkwood Pike (Rt. 472) in Colerain Township around 7:30 a.m. One person was reported as trapped, their medical condition is unknown.
