A 17-year-old girl who died piloting a Cessna on Independence Day was only on her second-ever solo flight, authorities say. Maisie Bitler had taken off from Williamsport Regional Airport in a Cessna 172 owned by Quarter to Two Flying Club, Inc., Engines on Thursday morning, according to fight logs and later identified by the Clinton County Coroner's Office. A 14-year-old transgender teenager from Western Pennsylvania met their alleged killer through the dating app Grindr, according to an affidavit of probable cause obtained by Daily Voice. Tufts Lacrosse Player From Hudson Valley Dies In Hot Dog Eating Contest
A college student from the Hudson Valley has died from injuries in a hot dog eating contest on Saturday, Oct. 16. Rockland County resident Madie Nicpon, a 2019 graduate of Suffern High School, was a junior at Tufts University in Massachusetts. She fell unconscious during an off-campus charity fundraiser and died at a Boston hospital the following day, WCVB, ABC 5 in Boston reports.
