Called-in and emailed bomb threats prompted evacuations at multiple polling places, the district's attorney's office confirmed on Tuesday, Nov. 5. The following morning the FBI informed they believe Russians were responsible. Threats were made at locations across Pennsylvania, according to a statement by Governor Josh Shapiro at a press conference on election night. None of the threats were credible, the Gov. Bomb Threats Reported At Multiple Universities Across Maryland, DC
At least three universities in Maryland and DC were on high alert Tuesday, Feb. 1 due to bomb threats, according to officials. Bomb threats have been reported at Morgan State University, Howard University and the University of the District of Columbia. Morgan State University in Maryland issued a shelter-in-place and said all classes would be virtual. Lancaster Man Threatens To 'Blow Up' Court In 12 Harrassing Phone Calls, Police Say
A 40-year-old Lancaster man with a pending court case was arrested after calling court employees 12 times and threatening to "blow the place up," authorities said. Ryan W. Bunting called was using foul language while speaking to the District Court employees regarding a pending case, Manheim Township Police Department said. Workers disconnected the call, but Bunting called back more than 12 times and continued harassing workers, police said.
